Marlowe Garage Door Service works in Frisco and nowhere else. Every technician, every van and every part on it is dedicated to one city of roughly 240,000 people, four ZIP codes and a lot of three-car garages. That focus is why we can quote a real arrival window instead of a day-long one.
Frisco is an unusual market for this trade. It is a young city by housing stock, so we see very few pre-1990 doors and an enormous number of builder-grade systems all reaching the same age at once. The work that dominates our week is spring replacement, opener repair and cable resets, in that order, and the van is packed accordingly.
It also has a rhythm. Mornings belong to the school run, and with a dozen Frisco ISD high schools plus the middle and elementary schools feeding them, a door that will not open at 7am is a genuine crisis for a household. Those calls get priority, and we hold early slots open for them.
How We Work, in Plain Terms
The price comes first
Nothing gets unbolted before you have a fixed number. It covers parts, labor and the visit, and it does not move once you have agreed it. If we find something extra behind a panel, we stop and re-quote rather than adding it to the invoice.
We repair before we replace
A ten year old opener with a stripped gear is a $145 to $245 repair. That is not an excuse to quote you a whole new unit. We will tell you when replacement is genuinely the better value, and we will tell you when it is not.
Parts that outlast the call-out
Nylon rollers with sealed bearings, galvanized cables, and 25,000-cycle springs wherever the headroom allows. The cost difference over builder-grade parts is small, and it buys years.
The whole door, every time
Balance test, cable and drum check, hinge and roller inspection, sensor alignment and an auto-reverse test against a board on the floor. It takes ten minutes and it catches the next failure before it happens.
What You Will Not Get From Us
Plenty of what gives this trade a bad name comes down to a few standard tricks, so here is what we do not do. We do not quote a spring over the phone and then discover on arrival that your door needs the expensive version. We do not fit a single spring on a two-spring door to make a number look better. We do not condemn an opener that has a $60 part wrong with it, and we do not leave a door out of balance because the opener will drag it up anyway.
We also do not work outside Frisco, take on gate automation, or sell maintenance plans that bill monthly whether you use them or not. A tune-up when the door starts sounding tired is a better deal for you and an honest one for us.
